Welcome to the University of Lincoln Academic Futures site, a project developed with the support of the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education.
In 2015 the University of Lincoln began work on a project to develop a new career route for postgraduate taught and research students interested in academic careers. At a time when the focus for all universities is firmly on the student experience and ultimately employability, this project provides an innovative and inclusive way to expose postgraduate students to the wider academic skills, practices and processes whilst opening up an opportunity to see the workings of a Higher Education Institution at first hand. This scheme will also provide access for postgraduate students to gain awareness of how the academic community is structured; and in particular, allow an opportunity to identify a career pathway into academia.
This project was developed with funding from the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education under the Innovation and Transformation Scheme. More information about related projects and case studies can be found on the LFHE and Efficiency Exchange websites.
